The monday connector reads monday.com boards through monday's GraphQL API: the items on each board, and the activity log of every change.
| Connector name | monday |
| Products | Records, episodes |
| Credentials | The portal's Connect button, or a personal API token |
| Status | Preview: tested against monday's documented responses, not yet on a live account |
What it pulls
| Object | Contents |
|---|---|
item |
Board, name, state, group, created and updated times, creator, parent item, every column's type and displayed value |
activity_log |
Board, event, item and column, old and new values, user, time |
board |
Name, kind, state, workspace, columns and groups, updated time |
user |
Name, title, time zone, admin and guest flags, teams |
Episodes. One per item changed in the window: each column change in order, such as a status moving from "Working on it" to "Waiting on client", with who made it.
Credentials
In monday.com, click your profile picture → Developers → My access tokens and copy the token. It reads what its user can see.
Or skip the tokens: click Connect next to monday.com in the portal (Settings → Connected systems), then run datayield connect monday --broker.
Connect
datayield connect monday -o apiToken=env:MONDAY_TOKENOptions
| Option | Required | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
apiToken |
yes | The personal API token. Stored as a secret. |
startDate |
no | Where the first run's activity log starts |
objects |
no | Any of item, activity_log, board, user |
New records on each run
Activity logs are requested for the window only. Items are read board by board and kept when updated inside the window. Boards and users are sent whole each run. monday limits query complexity per minute; the SDK waits and retries when it says so.
